compete in the Dart Tournament or Haggis Eating Contest. The event kicks off
with a Glenfiddich Whiskey Tasting and /Men of Worth/ concert on Friday
night. The outdoor athletic competitions will be back (Whoohoo! I love those

The Mouse Under the Bridge
Sun, 02/05/2012 - 23:23 — Anonymous One of my favorite drives in Los
Angeles is across the *Vincent Thomas Bridge* between *San Pedro* and *Long
Beach*. Southern California's version of the Golden Gate is smaller and
green, but still cuts a dashing figure across the *Port of Los Angeles.* I
know some people who are intimidated by driving on bridges, especially when
they have as much freight traffic as this one, but I love the high vantage
point overlooking the gritty industrial harbor to the north and the more
scenic cruise terminal and *Ports O' Call Village *to the south. I'd show you
the view, but the CHP frowns on shooting photos while driving....Read Full

Valentine's Day in Los Angeles
Thu, 02/09/2012 - 15:00 — Anonymous Los Angeles is a flip-flops and shorts
kind of town with champagne and caviar tastes. It's also one of the most
romantic places on the planet, which makes it a great place to celebrate
Valentine's Day. From the simplicity of a walk along the beach or a horseback
ride through the mountains to the luxury of a sunset helicopter tour or a
diamond-studded exploration of the Jewelry District, there's something to
suit everyone's romantic sensibilities and budget in my guide to Valentine's
Day in Los Angeles. If you won't be in town for Valentine's Day, the
activities listed there are still romantic any time of year. If you are here

Stars and Footprints: Overly Touristy and Still Worth a Visit
Fri, 02/10/2012 - 16:14 — Anonymous I was just reading Matt Long's blog

LA Marathon 2011 Close to Capacity
